Introduction With a capacity of more than 21,000 calves, the NewCold calf breeding and fattening project is the largest of the strategic projects in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. In Zakho and Erbil, the project supplies special slaughter to local markets. It is the first project in the colleges to supply the local market with high-quality red meat at a reasonable price. The slaughterhouse has a daily capacity of more than 140 calves and more than 400 sheep per day and can slaughter large animals (sheep and calves). Location of the project It is located north of Dohuk, Samayl district, opposite Batil, Kilak village, in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. For this project, 145 Iraqi dunums of land were allocated. Director and commissioner of New Cold Company, Mr. Ghaidan Nizar Saadoun owns the land. There were 71 dunams of basic area (177,500 square meters) devoted to the project. Project origins: 1-Educational halls have capacity for 21,600 calves in 8 halls. 2-Special slaughterhouse for the project, with a daily slaughter capacity of 140 calves and 400 sheep. 3-The halls and stores for file number 4. 4-The administration building. 5-A veterinary clinic with private rooms for veterinarians and doctors. 6-Laboratories dedicated to specific projects. 7-Animals can be held in an emergency hall. 8-Housing for 4 workers. 9-Special administrationFor the massacre. 10-Over 50-ton scale for the project, Suitable for weighing cases up to 5000 kg on a small scale.
